People of all ages suffer strokes. In the South East 17,000 people suffer a stroke each year and at any given time 70,700 are living with the residual effects of stroke.

Walton Stroke Group is a support group for stroke survivors and their carers in Walton-on-Thames and Hersham. It provides somewhere for them to go each week where they can meet others in the same situation as themselves. It offers activities or entertainment at its weekly meetings, as well as occasional outings and events and an annual holiday.
After a stroke – especially one which leaves them with limited mobility – many people become housebound and isolated. We help them to become socially rehabilitated through regular contacts with others like themselves and participation in activities which they all enjoy.

You can help us continue this valuable work to the benefit of more people affected by stroke. None of the trustees or officers of the Group is remunerated.  100% of donations goes towards the cost of our activities.
